Dual-Stage Sensitivity Adjustment
The VS-L8P features a unique two-stage digital sensitivity adjustment system:
Stage 1: 9 sensitivity levels (9 to 1), default set to level 8.
Stage 2: 6 sensitivity levels (5. to 0.), activated when Stage 1 reaches level 1.
Adjust using the (-) button to reduce sensitivity and focus on strong signals, or the (+) button to increase sensitivity for broader scans.
Intelligent Signal Type Indication
The detector automatically identifies detected signal types via LED indicators:
2G/4G/CAM LED: Lights up for 2G/4G/5G cell phones, WiFi, wireless cameras, bugs, and signal jammers.
3G LED: Dedicated to 3G 2100MHz signals, with superior sensitivity.
Expert 3G 2100 Detection
Equipped with a specialized 3G 2100MHz detection module, the VS-L8P offers unparalleled sensitivity for 3G network signals, making it ideal for locating 3G-enabled spy devices.
Filter Mode for Base Station Interference Reduction
Press and hold the (+) button until three beeps sound to activate Filter Mode, which minimizes interference from cell towers, allowing clearer detection of nearby spy devices.
Semi-Directional Antenna
The antenna's semi-directional design helps narrow down signal sources by adjusting the scan angle from 120° to 45° as sensitivity is reduced, aiding in precise localization.
Lens Finder for Camera Detection
Attach the Lens Finder to the detector to expose hidden camera lenses:
8 ultra-bright lights scan for lens reflections.
Viewfinder allows easy identification of camera lenses, even when cameras are powered off.
Operation Guide:
Power-On and Self-Test
Slide the power switch (located on the right side) to "1" to turn on the device.
The detector will perform a self-test, lighting up all LEDs sequentially, then settling with only the Power and Beep LEDs active.
Default sensitivity is set to Level 8, displayed on the 7-segment screen.
Signal Detection Process
1.Extend the antenna and scan the area slowly.
2.The 8-LED signal strength bar will light up (green to yellow to red) based on signal intensity.
3.If multiple LEDs light up and the device beeps or vibrates, a wireless signal is detected.
4.For environmental noise, signals will be uniform across the room; a strong signal in a specific area indicates a nearby source.
Locating Signal Sources
1.Set the warning mode to Beep (default) or use earphones for precision.
2.Hold the detector with the front face (LEDs and speaker) toward you and the antenna upright.
3.Scan half-circles to identify the strongest signal direction.
4.Take a step toward the strongest signal and reduce sensitivity using the (-) button to narrow the scan angle.
5.Repeat until you pinpoint the signal source. If signal is lost, increase sensitivity with the (+) button.
Warning Mode Selection
Press both left-side buttons simultaneously to cycle between:
Beep alarm (default)
Vibration mode
Earphone silent detection (connect the included earphone)
Battery and Charging
Battery Installation
Locate the battery compartment on the rear side.
Install 4 x AAA/UM-4 batteries following the +/- indicators.
Use either dry or rechargeable batteries (do not mix).
Charging Instructions
Rechargeable Batteries: Connect the switching power adaptor via the Mini USB port (bottom right side).
Charging Status:
Red LED: Fast charging (0-70% capacity).
Green LED: Slow charging (70-100% capacity).
Battery Low Indicator: Red LED lights up when power is low. Replace dry batteries or charge rechargeables immediately to avoid over-discharge.
Power Bank Support: Connect a power bank via Mini USB for extended use (remove dry batteries first; do not use computer USB ports as they provide insufficient power).
